Es ist an der Zeit, mit der Befragung der Bevölkerung für die baroniale Nachfolge von Knight’s Crossing zu beginnen.
Mistress Estrid of Nordmark und Magister Æthestan of Wortham haben ihren Wunsch erklärt, das nächste Baronenpaar von Knight’s Crossing zu werden. Ihre Worte an euch Bürger, um sich vorzustellen, findet ihr in diesem Dokument. Es liegt nun an euch als Bürger der Baronie, Ihre Majestäten von Drachenwald wissen zu lassen, ob die Bevölkerung von Knight’s Crossing diese Kandidaten unterstützt.
Über den untenstehenden Link gelangt ihr zum Umfrageformular auf unserer Website, wo ihr eurer Stimme Gehör verschaffen könnt. Die Wahl beginnt am 07. April und endet nach 20 Tagen am 26. April. Anschließend werden die Ergebnisse Ihren Majestäten präsentiert, um ihnen bei ihrer endgültigen Entscheidung zu helfen.

The time has come to start polling the populace for the Baronial succession of Knight‘s Crossing.
Mistress Estrid of Nordmark and Magister Æthestan of Wortham have declared their desire to become the next Baronial couple of Knight‘s Crossing. The words that they have for you to introduce themselves can be found in this document. It is now up to you as the citizens of the Barony to let Their Majesties of Drachenwald know whether the populace of Knight‘s Crossing does support these candidates.
The link below will take you to the polling form on our website where you can make your voice heard. The polling will start on April 7th and will end after 20 days on April 26. Afterwards the results will be presented to Their Majesties to help Them in Their final decision.

Wir, Baroness Estrid und Master Æthestan, fühlen uns geehrt, unsere Bewerbung als Baronin und Baron unserer geliebten Baronie zu unterbreiten.
Unsere Vision ist einfach: Wir möchten eine freudvolle, inspirierende und einladende Baronie fördern, in der Alle gedeihen können. Wir möchten Spielfreude und Pracht bestärken, unsere Veranstaltungen noch bunter, bewegender und unvergesslicher gestalten. Wir glauben daran, die Leidenschaften der anderen zu unterstützen und sicherzustellen, dass jeder den Raum hat, Großes zu tun; im Kampf, Kunst und Hand-werk oder im Dienst unserer Gemeinschaft. Wir haben jahrelange Erfahrung als örtliche Amtsträger und haben in allen Regionen Drachenwalds und mehreren Königreichen darüber hinaus unser Hobby gelebt..
Baroness Estrid, Mistress of the Laurel, ist bekannt für ihre Anmut, Kreativität und tiefe Fürsorge für die Menschen um sie herum. Mit ihrem Interesse an Pracht und Atmosphäre und als weithin bekannte Juwelierin in der Welt der SCA bringt sie Schönheit und Inspiration, wohin sie auch geht. Als Gründungsbaronin von Nordmark versteht sie das Herz einer starken und freudvollen Baronie.
Master Æthestan, Master of the Pelican, hat viele Jahre damit verbracht, Dinge in der SCA anzustoßen und in Gang zu bringen – Gruppen zu vergrößern, freudige und spektakuläre Aktivitäten zu organisieren und das Kämpfen auf lokaler und Königreichsebene als Earl Marshal zu fördern. Er glaubt daran, die Dinge einfach und unterhaltsam zu gestalten und dafür zu sorgen, dass Veranstaltungen gut organisiert sind – aber immer Raum für Spontaneität und Freude lassen.
Wir wollen unsere Bindungen in der Baronie ausbauen – Neuankömmlinge willkommen heißen, jüngere Mitglieder ansprechen und anderen Mittelaltergruppen in Deutschland die Hand reichen, um gemeinsam Spaß zu haben. Aufbauend auf dem Vermächtnis unserer Vorgänger soll Knights Crossing immer ein Ort sein, an dem sich Menschen zu Hause fühlen – egal, woher sie kommen und ob sie neu oder schon seit Jahrzehnten dabei sind. Vor allem glauben wir, dass eine Baronie voller Wärme und Farbe der beste Weg ist, Herausforderungen zu meistern. Inspiriert von Geschichte und Freude möchten wir eine Atmosphäre schaffen, die so reich an Lachen und Freundschaft ist, dass es kaum Interesse an „SCA-Politik“ gibt – sondern nur eine gemeinsame Liebe für das, was wir zusammen tun.

Greetings to the People of Knights Crossing,
We, Baroness Estrid and Master Æthestan, are honored to submit our bid for election as Baroness and Baron of our beloved barony.
Our vision is simple: to nurture a joyful, inspiring, and welcoming Barony where all can thrive. We want to foster playfulness and pageantry, making our events even more colorful, moving, and unforgettable. We believe in supporting each other’s passions, ensuring everyone has the space to do great things, whether in combat, the arts, or service. We have years of experience as local officers, and together have played in all parts of Drachenwald and several kingdoms beyond.
Baroness Estrid, a Mistress of the Laurel, is known for her grace, creativity, and deep care for those around her. With a strong interest in pageantry and ambience, and as a jeweller well-known across the Known World, she fosters beauty and inspiration wherever she goes. As the founding Baroness of Nordmark, she understands the heart of a strong and joyful barony.
Master Æthestan, a Master of the Pelican, has spent years making things happen in the SCA – growing groups, organizing joyful and spectacular activities, and promoting combat at a local and kingdom level as Earl Marshal. He believes in keeping things simple and fun, ensuring events are well-run – but always leaving space for spontaneity and delight.
We both want to grow our connections—welcoming newcomers, engaging younger members, and reaching out to fellow medieval groups in Germany for shared fun. Building on the legacy of the last baronial pairs, Knights Crossing should always be a place where people feel at home – wherever they come from, and whether they are new or have been with us for decades.
Most of all, we believe that a barony filled with warmth and colour is the best way to rise above challenges. Inspired by history and by joy, we want to create an atmosphere so rich with laughter and friendship that there is little interest in playing “SCA politics” – only a shared love of what we do together.
With this spirit, we ask for your support and look forward to the chance to serve the people of Knights Crossing.
